Andy has been fitting kitchens for over 10 years and has developed a true and deep passion for it. However, as a fitter there are limitations to his job; he receives a plan and it isn’t always the best for the room layout or most importantly, for the client. Being an ambitious and impulsive person, he wakes up one morning and says ‘let’s open a kitchen showroom, that way I can design and fit a kitchen that has full functionality that customers are completely satisfied with’. Fern is an accountant and the kitchen industry is a brand new world to her but after years of hearing about Andy’s trials and tribulations of his daily fitting affairs, she agreed to this vision and from that moment we were all in.

Having worked on Masterclass Kitchens earlier in his career, Andy knew he would love to work with them as he was always very fond of their products and diverse range of doors and colours. With Fern being on maternity leave with the youngest daughter, Hadley, 95% of all supplier meetings were with a baby in tow, whilst the eldest daughter, Harper, was in preschool.

Finding the perfect space was imperative and situated in a beautiful Stanway courtyard, our showroom dreams commenced once we signed on the dotted lines.

Building a new business from scratch, co-ordinating deliveries, worktop templating and meetings, whilst supporting the family with day jobs has certainly been challenging and as a family we spent many weekends together in the showroom getting everything ready. But, we made it happen, we made our dream come true.
